Manifesto

The industry kept emulating the past. We build for the present.

For twenty years, plugin development has been dominated by one idea: recreate hardware from the 1970s and 80s. The SSL channel strip. The Neve preamp. The 1176. These are real tools that shaped real records — but they were engineered for studios that no longer represent how most music is made.

Production has moved. The tools haven't followed.

Today, professional engineers mix on headphones in untreated rooms. Deliverables are stems, not stereo masters. Sessions run on MacBooks as often as they run on dedicated workstations. The CLAP format has arrived with capabilities VST3 never had. And yet the dominant model in the plugin industry is still: emulate a console, charge annually to keep it working, require an internet connection to validate what you already own.

Rockedge Audio is built on a different premise. Every tool we make is designed for workflows as they exist today. Every license is perpetual, offline-capable, and unconditionally yours. Every plugin ships in the formats that matter — VST3, AU, and CLAP — as first-class citizens, not afterthoughts.

Modern Workflows

Designed around stems, headphone monitoring, and session speed. Interfaces built for screens, not ported from physical hardware. Every interaction earns its place.

Fair Licensing

No subscriptions. No activation servers. No annual paywalls. A 14-day fully functional trial, then a single purchase that is permanently and unconditionally yours.

Modern Formats

VST3, AU, and CLAP — all shipped as first-class citizens. Native CLAP support for hosts that have moved beyond the constraints of VST3.
